I really enjoyed making (and coloring in) the succulent coloring page a few months ago so I thought why not make it a monthly post! It’s kind of a win-win, I get to design and color more fun pages and if you (or someone you know) like coloring too you’ll get a free coloring page every month! It’ll give you a guilt-free excuse to color! Yay! This month’s Color With Me features a tea party table setting!
For the last few weeks I’ve tried to be more mindful about stress and anxiety. I can be a bit of a stressy-bessie at times so it’s important to just take a breath and calm down. As I was trying to think of different ways to relax I realized coloring would be perfect! Coloring is one of my favorite ways to unwind, aside from being nostalgic--or maybe because it’s nostalgic, I find it so soothing. Others must agree as coloring books for adults are so popular now!
For this month I went with a tea party theme as I have SUCH a sweet tooth right now: exhibit A Vegan Ding Dongs, exhibit B Vegan Lemon Cake. My favorite thing about designing (and coloring) these coloring pages is thinking to myself what kind of color I would want a tea set to be in real life or what would look nice together. If you’ve ever played Sims like I used to, particularly Sims 3 with all the color and pattern modification, you might feel the same way! It’s like window shopping in coloring form!
I don’t know if you noticed it but amongst the shortbread cookies, heart cookies, chocolate chip cookies, little sandwiches, and other bits, I’ve included a lemon cake! I made it look like the one I made but I put lemon slices on top so it really says “Lemon Cake!”--you know?
Click the download link below, print it out, and get coloring! I do ask, if you download my coloring page, please keep it for personal use only.
What do you like to do to relax? I’ve also been knitting again since I bought that lot of knitting needles from Goodwill. I’ve been mainly practicing things like color changing for stripes and fair isle knitting. It’s going well! I hope you guys have a great weekend and get a chance to crack out some colored pencils and color for a while!
