We’ve had another Birthday! My sister Darla and her boyfriend were in town a couple of weeks ago and we celebrated his birthday while he was here! I made a lemon birthday cake, using my lemon cake recipe, with some fun mountain cake toppers! It was so nice to celebrate with them! I thought I’d share the printables so you guys can use them and make fun mountain cakes too!
I just love cakes with little printout cake toppers on top; I can’t get enough of them! They’re fun to make, usually fairly easy to cut out, and look great too!
For these cake toppers, after I designed them in Adobe Illustrator and printed them out on white card stock paper, I cut the mountains out and hot glued them to a horizontal skewer cut to size. I then hot glued two more skewers to the back of the mountains to stick in the cake. For the banner and clouds I cut them out, taking away any black edge and simply hot glued the pieces to two long skewers. Once it was all dry and the cake was frosted I stuck them in about an inch apart, parallel to each other. You could use tape instead of hot glue, or depending on how thick your frosting is, you could stick them directly into the frosting. It’s up to you! Have fun with it! Of course you don’t even have to use these on a cake, you could use them for other crafting as well!
Click the download link below, print it out and get crafting! I do ask, if you download my cake topper printout, please keep it for personal use only.
What's your favorite birthday theme? I'm still loving the swimming ladies cake I did for my mom, it was so fun! I hope you guys have a great rest of the week, I'll see you on Friday!
